Fillbook for AI assistants

Fillbook can let an AI assistant you already use, such as Claude Code, Cursor or claude.ai, read your own accounts and trades so you can ask questions about them. It is read-only, and you stay in control: you choose the accounts, and you can revoke access at any time.

What it is

Fillbook runs a read-only MCP server (Model Context Protocol, a common way for AI tools to read data from an app). Your assistant connects to it with a personal token you create in Settings (Claude Code, Cursor) or by signing in with your Fillbook account (claude.ai), and can then call six read-only tools that return your account status and trade history, built from your synced trades.

What it can answer

Six tools, all read-only:

  • list_accounts The accounts that token can see, with firm, evaluation or funded, size, drawdown mode and the time of the last synced trade.
  • get_account_status Drawdown buffer to your floor, today's loss room, daily loss limit and consistency status, using the same math as the Risk room in Fillbook. It says it cannot tell when the data or your rule is not enough.
  • get_performance_summary Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy and best and worst days for a date range of up to 365 days, optionally split by setup, session or day.
  • get_trades Your synced trades (dates, symbol, side, size, P&L, setup, tags), newest first, up to 500 per call.
  • get_behavior_flags Descriptive checks over a date range for revenge-style sizing after a loss, overtrading days and weak hours of the day, shown as counts and dates.
  • get_payout_readiness A checklist built from the rules you entered on the account (breach, consistency, minimum days, payout buffer, overnight holding). It comes from your own settings; it is not a decision by the firm.

What it cannot do

  • It cannot place, change or cancel trades, and it cannot edit anything in Fillbook.
  • It gives no advice and no signals. Figures describe past trades and rule status.
  • It is not real time. Answers come from trades Fillbook has synced, can lag your broker and cannot see open positions. Check your firm's own dashboard before acting.
  • The news-window and cross-account hedge scans are not available through it; they report that they cannot tell.

Data and privacy

  • Only the accounts you pick (when you create a token or approve a connector) can be read. There is no all-accounts option.
  • When you ask a question, the data your assistant requests is sent to the AI provider behind it, under that provider's terms. Fillbook does not control what that provider does with it.
  • Trade notes and emotion tags are off unless you tick that option for the token. Screenshots are never available.
  • Fillbook stores only a hash of the token, so the token is shown once, when you create it. Treat it like a password.
  • Tokens expire (30 days by default, 90 at most), you can have up to five active at once, and you can revoke one at any time in Settings; it stops working on the next request. Apps connected with claude.ai are listed under Connected apps in Settings and can be disconnected there; access ends immediately.
  • Setup names, tags and notes are text you typed. Fillbook strips control characters and tells the assistant to treat that text as data, but this cannot fully prevent text from trying to steer an assistant, so keep notes off unless you need them.

Plan requirement

Creating a token or connecting claude.ai needs a paid Core or Elite plan; a free trial does not count. The plan is checked on every request, so access stops working if the plan lapses and works again after you re-subscribe. You can always revoke tokens and disconnect apps you already connected.

How to connect

In Fillbook, open Settings, then Sharing and leaderboard, then "Connect your AI assistant (beta)" and create a token. Replace the placeholder below with your token; the dialog in Settings shows these same commands with your token filled in.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http fillbook https://www.fillbookhq.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_FILLBOOK_TOKEN"

Run this once in your terminal.

Cursor

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "fillbook": {
      "url": "https://www.fillbookhq.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_FILLBOOK_TOKEN"
      }
    }
  }
}

Put this in your global ~/.cursor/mcp.json rather than a project file, so the token is not committed to a repository.

Current limits

  • Per token: 5,000 calls and 5,000 trade rows per day (UTC), 60 requests per minute, 500 trades per call and date ranges of up to 365 days.
  • Up to five active tokens per account.
  • This is a beta: the tools and limits may change.

claude.ai (beta)

claude.ai can connect to Fillbook as a custom connector. You sign in with your Fillbook account and choose which accounts it can see; there is no token to copy. Fillbook has tested this end to end with claude.ai.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, choose Add, then Add custom connector.
  2. Enter a name and the URL https://www.fillbookhq.com/mcp. If it asks how Claude should identify itself, choose Register automatically.
  3. Claude sends you to a Fillbook screen. Check the app name, choose the accounts it can read and approve.
  4. To stop access, open Fillbook Settings, find Connected apps and disconnect it; it loses access immediately.

Menu names and plan requirements change and differ by plan. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings, then Connectors. If yours look different, follow Claude's own custom connector instructions. This is a beta.

ChatGPT: not yet tested

Fillbook has not tested ChatGPT connectors, so we do not say they work. Until we have, use Claude Code, Cursor or claude.ai.

Fillbook describes past trades and rule status from the data you sync. Nothing here is financial advice.
