Rithmic Trading Journal: Three Ways to Get Your Trades In
Many prop firms, including Bulenox and Boxcar and some Apex accounts, run accounts on Rithmic. Tradovate can't list a Rithmic account, so a Tradovate connection finds nothing. These are the three routes that do work, easiest first.
First, check what your account runs on
If you trade in R | Trader Pro, or your firm's welcome email names Rithmic, the account is on Rithmic. If you log in at Tradovate's own site or app, it is on Tradovate, and the Tradovate connection will work for you. NinjaTrader and Quantower can sit on top of either one.
Fastest: import a file (nothing to install)
Export your trade or order history, then drop the file on Fillbook's Import page. Fillbook recognises the format, and it brings in your history from before you connected anything. It works on the Free plan.
- From NinjaTrader, follow the guide: How to Import NinjaTrader Trades Into Fillbook — Fillbook
- From Quantower: Panel list > Portfolio > Trades, then the panel menu > Export Data > CSV.
- From R | Trader Pro: export your Orders or Fills history, then upload the file.
Then switch on automatic sync with your Rithmic login
Choose your firm's system, enter the username and password you use in R | Trader Pro, and Fillbook reads your account list and order history on a schedule. It is read-only: it cannot place, change or cancel orders or move money.
Part of Core and Elite; the 14-day trial includes one connection. Checked against a real Rithmic account on one firm's system; other firms' systems are read the same way but not each tested. If your login allows only one session, Rithmic may sign out your oldest session when Fillbook connects.
Or use the add-on, if you trade in NinjaTrader or Quantower
Fills arrive as they happen, whatever the account runs on. See the setup pages: NinjaTrader Trading Journal — Fillbook · Quantower Trading Journal — Fillbook
Frequently asked questions
Tradovate only lists accounts that run on Tradovate. Bulenox and Boxcar run on Rithmic, and Apex offers both, so an account on Rithmic never appears there. Use one of the three routes above.
Fillbook only reads: your account list and order history. It cannot place, change or cancel orders, and it cannot move money. If you would rather not share a login, import a file or use the NinjaTrader or Quantower add-on instead.
Direct Rithmic sync is part of Core and Elite, and the 14-day free trial includes one auto-sync connection. On the Free plan you can still import a file by hand.
